Once again this year Grappa Barricata takes the 23rd Alambicco d'Oro Prize

The 23rd Alambicco d’Oro competition, organised by the ANAG (Grappa and Aqua Vitae Tasters) and by the Tasters Study and Training Centre, again went to Distillerie Franciacorta’s Grappa Barricata.

After careful sensorial analysis and a subsequent statistical survey carried out using scientific methods, a qualified panel of expert judges elected, among the other winners, Grappa Barricata by Distillerie Franciacorta.
The competition, which over the years has acquired increasingly more demanding parameters, able to pinpoint top-quality aqua-vitae, selected a renowned and widely enjoyed grappa which well represents the excellence of the products made by Distillerie Franciacorta, a leading Italian grappa producer.

In the grappa and distilled spirits sector, Distillerie Franciacorta plays an innovative role: conveying to the consumer a message tied to the possibility of an alternative use, it suggests transforming a grappa typically tied to tradition and seasonal consumption into a simpler and regularly used product.

Grappa Barricata is the result of the selection of two excellent products, Cabernet Grappa and Pinot Noir Grappa, separately refined in oak Barriques. The two grappas are only blended when they reach a perfect stage of maturity. Result: sensorial qualities, olfactory emotions, precise fragrances that develop a complex bouquet, and a mellow and wonderfully full round taste. Definitely for connoisseurs.
The wood of the Barriques provides added value and new emotions only to products that already possess an outstanding quality of their own.
